Qasim Akram (Karachi Kings)
At just 18 years of age, Qasim Akram is one of the youngest players in the PSL 2021 tournament. Qasim’s name reminds everyone of the legendary bowling all-rounder, Wasim Akram. But, as opposed to Wasim, Qasim is a right-hand batsman and a right-hand off-break bowler who has impressed many cricket-lovers with his performance in Under-19 and First-Class cricket.In First-Class cricket, he has scored 389 runs in 14 innings at an impressive average of 35.36 and has taken 13 wickets as well. In the final of the IPL 2016 edition, Ben scored 39 off 15 deliveries and then took 2 wickets, which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad win the cup, and he was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.Playing for Quetta Gladiators, Ben has taken 9 wickets so far in 12 matches at an average of 27.44, and he has scored 195 runs at an average of 19.5. Ben might not have scored many runs, but he’s an effective lower-order batsman. For example, he scored 22 runs off just 12 deliveries against Islamabad United in 2020, which helped Quetta Gladiators win the match.
